Make Time Summer Camps
We are excited to bring you another summer packed with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Summer Workshops for ages 7-14. Make Time provides an immersive week long set of age appropriate activities developed around a particular theme. Kids experience STEAM concepts using fun games, technology, and art to get hands on learning experiences. Each week will include a variety of robotics, mad science, nature, and craft components with finished projects for kids to bring home!
THE CLAY STUDIO: This summer we’re introducing our new CLAY STUDIO. Each week students will get to spend time learning how to throw pottery on the wheel as well as techniques for sculpting in clay.
- Full Week Regular Hours 9am-3pm: $225 - Early bird sign up: $200 if signed up by April 15th

Lego Engineering & Battlebots
Calling all Lego lovers! Join us this week to show off your creativity and Master Builder skills. Come join the fun as we create an entire city made of Legos. This week will be a celebration of the brick as we create art, design battlebots, and test our creations in various competitions. With access to over a MILLION legos, there’s no idea too big for this week of brick building!
Are you a fan of Harry Potter, Star Wars, or another blockbuster? This week at Make Time we dive into Hollywood, celebrating your favorite movies. We’ll create props and costumes then work on creating our own movies and stop-motion films. It’ll be a week of wonder and imagineering as we explore the silver screen.
At Make Time we are in love with the sun - and Summer is the season for Solar Science! We’ll spend the week exploring how to harness the power of the sun’s rays to cook food (and drinks), run electronics without batteries, and even make solar art! From solar racers to solar ovens, this week will be packed with fun in the sun. Students will take home an understanding of how solar power works, as well as some awesome new solar gear.
Cardboard is plentiful and when used correctly can be as strong as wood. This week we’ll explore art and engineering by designing and building machines (and sculpture) using cardboard combined with parts and mechanisms taken from broken household items. We’ll toss in a dash of electronics to give it some extra flare. If you love building then this is the week for you!
3D printing is one of the fastest growing hobbies today. Learning how to use a 3D printer allows a person to take an idea and very quickly make it into a plastic model. Students will learn how to use 3D software to create original toys, machines and art. Each day we’ll explore a different aspect of how 3D printing can be used to create new and fun objects.
Gaming Adventures (Pokemon, D&D, Magic and more!)
Board games are the perfect blend of art, imagination, math and social interaction. Where else can you battle your pet monster against a friends? Or team up with your buddies and explore a dungeon looking for treasure? This week at Make Time we’ll delve into the wide, wonderful world of games. We will play games as well as make our own! A
“What exactly is a Hacklab?” Do you ever wonder what’s inside the machines in your house? You could open them to find out, but usually that gets you in trouble with your parents. In this camp we’ll take apart old or broken machines, figure out what the parts do, then pull them out and make new machines (robots, cars, and things that move) with them. You’ll combine your imagination with our tools and tech to make amazing things. Make a robot that draws, a solar powered car, or a motor powered hot chocolate stirring machine - the only limit is your imagination. You create the idea and we’ll help you to build it.
Are you prepared to embark on an adventure in a galaxy far, far away? This week is packed full of innovation and celebration in the Star Wars universe. Create your own star wars character (backstory, powers and all) and compete in “Force Games.” We will use 3D printing software to design, print and construct our own lightsabers (with light up blade). Will you join the Jedi or fall to the to the trickery of the Dark Side?
Living in the desert it’s easy to forget that two-thirds of the planet we live on is water. It’s too far to bring students to the ocean, so we’ll bring the ocean to them. We’ll bring aquatic investigations to life with activities centered on creatures from the deep. Students will explore how research is done under water by designing, building, and testing mini ROVs (Remotely Operated underwater Vehicles)using custom 3D printed parts. Take your ROV home at the end of the week.
We wrap up the summer at Make Time with a Harry Potter adventure! Everything is possible, from magical creatures to haunted castles. Each day will feature team and individual activities that revolve around the inhabitants and creatures of the magical world of Harry Potter. End the summer with another great adventure at Make Time!
